Breakdown on North-South MRT Line

Question... If the water buffalo that is ploughing the fields is overworked... does sacking the herder solve the problem ??

no. must learn how to outsource the job. water buffalo shld hire 2 foreign cows to take over his job, work twice as hard, and earn less than a quarter each.

LOL right now it's the soil that is too hard for the older water buffalo to plow the fields properly. what needs to be done is to work on the land to make it better, and replace the old water buffalo with newer ones.

we should have the Shin Kan Sen in Singapore LOL

Only Siemens Mobility expressed interest in the Peninsular Malaysia - Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project with their Velaro series of rolling stock.

The project is expected to be completed by the next century.

If the herder is abusing the buffalo then wouldn't having a better herder solve the problem?

ah... but the herder should not have wait until the water buffalo has gotten ill then START to try to solve the problems.... the herder should have the foresight to plan for the replacements or whatever since everyone knows that water buffaloes will grow old and die...the herder have great responsibilities and have to show he can take up the responsibilities ... and and who knows what pesticides the herder have put to ensure better harvests haha.....does sacking an incapable herder solve the problem(incapable or capable..depends on what you think the responsibility of the herder is)...maybe maybe not ....also depends on the capability of the next one.... some people believed the herder should be sacked ...as like people who believes in the death penalty believes..based on the premise that those sort of people will REPEAT their mistakes again if not sacked or hanged....and as a deterrent to making mistakes for whoever takes over perhaps...it all have to depends on what assumptions people hold and what people think other people's assumptions are :)

Not when the next herder HAD to continue the pace at which the Buffalo work because the 'Land Owner' demands it....

The whole issue is quite simple... the Buffalo is overworked... it has more or less max out on its capacity... changing the herder won't solve the problem because the Buffalo is still overworked. Till more Buffalo comes along (2-3 years from now)... sacking every herder won't do 'Sh*t'...

Noticed that "helicopter rotor blades" have been installed in some MRT stations after the multimillion half-height Platform Screen Door (PSD) seemingly hindered the effect of natural ventilation.

Couldn't help but imagine a Final Destination scene waiting to happen. Also 20K in SGD per fan? :bsmilie:

the fans of the MRT system are growing lesser with each incident... therefore, SMRT has decided to introduce huge and expensive fans to make up for that particular loss :bsmilie:

Ya, n so i shall stop going to those shops under her, like delifrance...

Disliked her ten million %! 没人情味!

Thanks to the new leadership with great marketing vision.

Sunshine bread is now also making this in 20 flavours sold in all MRT outlets:

I fell off my chair when read that auric shares massive sell off dropping sharply after her appointment was confirmed...
While she may not be overly popular with commuters, it is a fact that she still managed to brought in a return of 230% for the period between 2002 and 2011 during her tenure with SMRT.

I'm certain she is appointed as CEO of Auric Pacific based on the merit that she might achieve something similar and seeing how this is within her niche area of expertise, we will just have to wait and see what can she bring to the table.

I am no business man and I am not sure how modern companies survive in the competitive and ever shrinking world...

Not sure what Saw did to SMRT or what her result slip was. I only take the mrt like once a year...However, looking at what has happened in the past years, it seems to me that the growth and return that she was trying for, is not sustainable in the long term.

One thing for sure, I am definitely avoiding sunshine bread.

at the expenses of maintenance on the MRT infrastructure?

I don't think shareholders driving continental cars and living in private properties would be bothered about that. :bsmilie:

A 230% return for their shares in SMRT, really Ms. Saw and friends got the last laugh.
