I would like to see a filter that detects any new thread that contains the word, "help or need".

Any such new thread is directed to a bottomless pit.

As the thread disappears before the thread starters eyes, a message appears in big bold letters...."GOOGLE IT !!!"

Blue screen of death background I might add.

but what if its a genuine, original, never asked before question?
i think mods do their jobs well enough in deleting unnecessary threads... and its a forum, people will always ask for help.
If you dont want to help them, why not just ignore the thread? :)
Us newbies (i myself) constantly require help, and sometimes google doesnt have the answers in which case we come and ask here :)

Yup, I think its too draconian a suggestion.

Unfortunately, there is no technical solution to social (or behavior) problems. There will always be people who think the world owes them all answers and they deserve being fed with the big golden spoon by 10 obedient nurses.
The search function here might be a bit limited (one cannot search for 3 character terms) but it helps to rephrase the question. Same goes for Google. Of course you get hundreds of hits for 'bokeh' and no direct answer for "How to get the creamiest bokeh?" That's the point where the brain must come in and analyze the results. If the answer is "42" then the question needs to be reviewed.
