Both Canon Pro1 and S1 IS are out in bargaincity !

I bought the Pro1 yesterday at $1650 excl. GST from Parisilk in Holland V... quite shocked to find that place the cheapest about. Didn't try MS colour or John 3:16 though...

Now I got to get some time to get out there and shoot a bunch
the owner claimed that the distributor price is $1620, so not much room for profit hor?

that makes the before GST price at $1615... less than distributor price...
your shop must be losing money like that :dunno:

Regarding the pricing, either my shop has made a mistake or your shop's claim of $1,620 distributor price may not be completely true or across the board

Another possibility is that the set I enquired could be a parallel import set or they are really squeezing their margins as tight as the raffia strings on the bachang

Err...when completely zoom out or zoom in?
And I think I see quite a few complaints abt the photo quality of S1. Is it that it is not as sharp?
Cos I m using Ixus now...and I find it is kind of sharp, saturated colours...well, I am quite happy with wat I saw, in comparison, which is better?
The price at MS color like very variable leh...think must find florence or willy to ask bah?
Cos last time I bought my ixus from Florence....if she know me...dunno can pull the price lower or not

ok just thought I would let you all know that I actually ended up getting my camera from Alan Photo Shop is Sim Lim Square.

Peter there gave me the best deal. Also I had a problem with my 2nd Sandisk memory card not working and they swapped it for me when I didn't even have my receipt on me. Was very happy with this as I was on holidays and I would have had to have caught 2 cabs to get it. I would recommend them to anyone.

I got the camera and all the same stuff that baragain city was giving but I got a sandisk 256 ultra II memory card for an extra $20.00 singapore dollars.

The camera is good I took over 500 photos on holidays and movies as well. My only gripe about the camera is the shutter speed from the time you press the button to take a photo to the time it takes to take the picture in action shots. (kept missing photo oportunities) I am using Sandisk Ultra II memory cards 1 256mb and 1 512mb. Does anyone know how to speed this up.?

U mean to say the time taken to write the pic to the card is slow or the shutter lag is quite bad?

Not sure but all I know is that when i press the button to take the photo what appears on the back of my lcd is not always the picture that i had when i pressed the shoot button.
