That's the one I used. There're a few shops at Queensway SC top level, but all operated by the same owner. You need to be very precise in telling them what you want, including the orientation of the binding etc. The normal wait is about 2 weeks, but if you want to can pay more to get it earlier. The binding is usually nicely done, but the cover is :thumbsd: . I've learnt to ignore the hardcover and print a large A3+ cover for it and wrap it around. I saw this from the book at Cathay and it works out nicely for me. With duplex printing and a nice cover, you can really make a nice coffeetable photo book!

but i gave it to the one at bedok, i got many compliments on the binding and i strongly rec to every1.

We can't really blame them... the binding is for reports and thesis, which are usually very staid and boring anyway. That's why the binding is only used as a device for holding the pages together, and you'd have to dress up the book by printing your own wrap around cover...

There are others, eg. Mitsubishi. But I find I get more accurate colours from the Canon version, so that's the one I'm using. Having auto duplex printing on your printer really helps, as you do not need to flip the paper manually (easy to screw up the orientation if not paying attention). I'm using my friend's Canon Pixma iP5000 instead of my own i9950 because of the duplex.

quality is definitely gd. quite a variety of colors and material. u can choose betw fabric or paper (not literary paper, like normal library archive books..) i did it for my project and e binding was praised by many n many others, even strangers who saw it asked me for contact n address! cheap n gd! ;p

The Society for the Physically Disabled are doing book binding.Why not support them and at the same time you get good binding and personalised your book with title( fonts are hot pressed onto hard cover & can also do on spine), you can choose the different colour leather and there are different designs. I have been supporting them for years and have bonded about thirty books @ $35.each ( Leather and any number of fonts on cover/spine ). I think ordinary cover is cheaper vs leather.
There are lots of sample there for you to see and you can also customise your design ( please show design on paper and write down what you want on paper ! )

Lemme explain how I do it. I dunno abt Wintel users but I do da following in my Mac.
- Open iPhoto and create a photobook
- Save the photobook as PDF format
- Spilt the multiple page PDF into individual PSD files in Photoshop
- Minor sharpening, colour contrast and resizing done. Remember to leave a small margin at the side! I think I'd put my margin too huge liao, dats why u see the strip of white, unprinted area there.
- Print out individual pages on an A4-sized photo quality paper
- Bring it to the binders and ask for 'thesis book binding'.
Yah, dat's pretty much it.
I think there's a software called 'Adobe Photo Album' that functions quite similarly to what Apple's iPhoto does - photobooks, photo cataloging, etc.
No I din do any lamination of sorts. I just printed it on glossy photo paper. So far no 'paper sticking' yet.
Maybe I screwed my first one up though. Hopefully will have more opportunities to travel so I can do up even better ones.

Ahh... Interesting. I had heard abt it something like dat but din really go and check it out. Hi James,
Talking about their book binds, I must say that the quality of their binds are pretty good! I chanced upon some hardcover books in my school library, and the finishing and quality is pretty decent (and lasting as well, judging from the abuse that we subject to the book).
There was a little sticker indicating that this book was binded by them...
