Another shot of the sweet looking model... LOL

Sony Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8

Got only shots of my children which is for me one of the main purpose of these lenses anyway...

Helios 103

Some call it flatteringly the 'Russian Summicron'.
It does have a very similar 6/4 layout to one of the Summicron designs.
However, like all Helios designated lenses, I think its characteristics are Biotar.
Very sharp in the centre, soft off centre wide open and swirly bokeh.

That is some bokehlicious shots Pinholecam! Love it.
Here's mine, this is one of the rarer SLR lens that I own, a Fujinon EBC 50mm f1.4. I find the bokeh and rendering of this lens unique. Sharpness is of the classical kind, m42 mount adapted to my 6D :-)

Hi thoth. I think so. Can't get over bokeh since I used wide aperture primes. Also I learned a lot about the character of each lens from the pics posted here especially from Jen Kwang.

So sometimes I go looking for bokeh in the shots. With wide aperture & big finder it is easy. Only need to evaluate it after the shot. Or stop down if I have blurred the background too much.

This has been a very engaging thread.

Nice delicious bokeh shots Jen.

Bokeh is subjective anyway. There r just too many lenses around for us to explore. Haha.

The most precious memory every parent treasure are images of their growing children. I too have had that moment
years ago when my son and daughter were growing up. Have had recorded a lot of images since the day they were born
and to reflect back looking at the images bring a sense of pride and joy. Remarkable images

Nice shot with the Fujinon, yes, very seldom talked about here on CS.
Good to see it have a new lease of life on a 6D.

Canon 6D + Zeiss 135 Freelensed a bit bit... :)

Very nice focal plane distortion. but how do you actuate the focusing mechanism with the lens physically disconnected?

If I'm not wrong the lens is MF only.

might not be the best youtube guide on freelensing
