Read the sticky in the Newbies Corner.

Lots of amazing pictures here. I just had to join in with what is currently my favorite picture. Yes, it is my daughter, so I am quite biased. This is with my A100 18-70mm kit lens at 70mm, f5.6, 1/400, iso 80, with a polarizing filter, and I believe also an UV filter. I have done nothing but cropping the bottom of the image. Yes, I should have straightened it maybe, but hey, I am a newbie :)
I was playing around with manual focus, so it is not spot on, but close enough for me.

Why use so many filters? It caused some odd color in your pic. I'd have just used a UV filter.

That is a good question. At the time i was experimenting with polarizing filter. All pictures I took had a white sky until i started using it. I am very open for suggestions on how to make my pictures better though. What can I do to avoid using polarizing filter, and still avoid having the white "washed out" sky? This might be the wrong thread for this though...
