Sorry if the question is too silly.
I just joined DSLR family with A350 and have 18-70 and 55-200 Lens.
I tried but could not get Bokeh. I tried chaning depth of field but no go.
My photos always have all clear, the foreground and the background.

Could you gurus please advise how to get good bokeh using 1870 or 55200.

1. Try a longer focal length.
2. Use the biggest aperture possible.
3. Move your subject further away from the background.

Remember this?

i took this disgusting picture today.

"Good bokeh" is different from "out of focus areas".

Bigger aperture does not mean higher f number. So if you're shooting at f/16 - f/22, you're in the wrong direction.

Stop shooting in Auto, and shoot in Aperture priority mode.

Googling can help too:

As for whether or not it's good or bad bokeh will depend on the lens. :)

use the lowest F number(brightest aperture)...and reduce the distance btwn ur subject&lens..and increase the distance btwn ur subject&background...
