black & white film developer

does anybody know of a lab that develops black & white prints at a decent price?

the current rates i'm getting now at the neighbourhood lab is

3R - 0.60
4R - 0.90
5R - 5.00!

any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
 

i used a shop in Peninsula - the one near DBS atm plaza - thir rates for b/w - same as color, much cheaper then u quote, quality okey, about 3 days

now doing it in Holland v. - there is a photo services desk in the Cold Sorage. Developing only - 4$, one week (not sending for prints....)

developing costs should only be slight more. if you want to save some printing costs, you can request them to print on same paper as color. price should be same as color. if they know how to do, you can get something like sepia tone effect. anyway from there you can select the shots to be printed on larger b&w paper.

thanks for the info madmacs have recently tried printing b&w on colour paper and the sepia tone effect achieved is actually quite pleasing and sufficient for my needs. will tell the lab to do so in the future. :)
