Black or Chrome MP

Hi Guys,

I like the black MP but no stocks everywhere....Chrome is available but ive got a M8.2 in Chrome...

Wonder whats ur thots?:dunno:

Chrome > Black

Simple reason is that chrome can use lens of any color.

Black can only use black lenses.

Chrome lens + black body = perverse.

Chrome looks like a beautiful classic camera whereas the black whispers professional to those who pay close attention.

And, chrome lens on black is just weird.

I like t he shiny black paint, but chrome has its attractiveness....guess i will go for the chrome then. Been on the lookout for a 50mm lenz, looking at either a cron or the CV f/1.1...

I have the WATE and the 35mm lux currently.

I like chrome lens on black paint too

My preference:
- BP then chrome. Don't like black chrome
- BP is more prone to "wear and tear" but it ages very well
- chrome is more durable but doesn't age well. Don't like a dirty chrome

Hi......I like both...

:heart: Chrome is the timeless classic...unless you shoot like Garry Winogrand...doubt your chrome will brass like that...so chrome will still remain beautiful even you use your camera very frequently...

Black Paint...if you brought it brand new...too pretty to use it if you afraid to brass it or scratch it...some will cover it with ugly tape just to protect it...you know...so for shooter...dare to shoot with a Black Paint if you are not afraid to brass it... otherwise BP will end up putting for display...

p.s. I have a Black Paint M6 TTL LHSA...some said it is the most beautiful M6...too pampered...sadly sitting in the dry cabinet...Anyone want to take over to brass it? :bsmilie:

I like chrome lenses on black more than black lenses on chrome.
Basically, I like chrome Leica lenses-like the weight & solid feel. Operation also smoother.
When I started, I got everything black. Chrome will grow on you. Still in the process of changing my black lenses for chrome.
Just got a chrome Elmarit24Asph today.

Managed to buy some films from 7-11 to try out....my first foray into film photography....the shutter is really quiet compared to my M8.2...
