i don't really have many good books or web articles on bnw photography but what i do have are sites which display how black and white photography should be like.
the reason is that every scene is different, i can't really recall a great bnw book because these usually just force the author's workflow onto you.. or tend to be film books, or specific genres, like wedding photography.
here are some people with great black and white photos, be it a mix of film or digital.. maybe it is worth looking at and thinking why their photos work better in bnw, and what they have done.. and then apply it to your own photos.
do note that you have to look through the entire site, as not all these guys work entirely in bnw.
