Black and White film developing

I hope to try shooting B&W, but it is kind of hard for me to get the film properly develop by shop here in Johor, thus I am thinking of developing the film myself and send it to shop for prints.

May I know what do I need to develop the film? What chemical should I use? How long can the chemical last and can it be reused (I don't shoot frequently)? How much is the chemical and accessory costs?
