this joker wasted my freaking time.
background : he was supposed to sell me the LX3 for $340 ( no accessories, only charger and battery with JJC auto lens cap as shown in the gumtree ad )
at first we agreed on dealing at outram mrt 6pm. after awhile he said 6pm cannot, only serangoon 630pm can. i said fine.
at 630pm i called him. he didn't pick up. then he sms me say 645pm he will reach.
i waited.
645pm i called him again. still refuse to pick up call. after that he sms me say he just reach home.
after he reach home, he sms me again, asking me whether i confirm want to buy the set or not ( i was already fuming - i am waiting there and you have the cheek to ask me this? )
i smsed him again, asking when he will reach.
he said 710pm.
wait until 710pm, i called him again. he just refused to pick up. his reason was : low batt, please sms ( my arse, so many smses use less batt than calling? )
waited all the way till 740pm and he finally came with the camera.
horror. ( i owned a lx3 before so i know very well what to look out for )
1. battery door was spoiled.
2. part of the paint on the AF/AE-L wore off.
3. hotshoe was badly oxidized.
4. zoom mechanism was malfunctioning ( it did not extend properly)
5. he replaced the JJC cap and put the normal cap on.
i asked him why no auto cap.
he said his nephew one, he duno anything.
i said fine, can i speak to him then?
he : no, cannot
i : why not ?
he : my phone no batt
i : okay, i lend u my phone
he : no, i meant his phone no batt
i : fine, can we call his house then?
he : no, why do you want to do that?
i : because he is the real seller, and obviously the deal included the auto lens cap. we can save the hassle if you are willing to reduce the price a little.
he refused to budge.
he : why? just take it or leave it. are u trying to make things difficult for me?
at this point of time i really don't know what to say. its freaking ridiculous. he made me wait like an idiot, refused to pick up calls, and now what? give such dumb excuses saying its his nephew's and refuse to let me contact him? he still dared to say its in very good condition. yeah you're right.
in the end i just gave up and took a cab home instead.
just my luck to meet into such a scumbag. :thumbsd:
