You didn't test the battery on the spot?

Always check seller's post history. He is obviously a trader here. And you took his word on "only charged twice" for a used battery with no way to verify? ;)

The camera is able to read the battery info but I only found out abt the retrieve battery serial no. bit by pressing the info button at the battery info page when i got home. The other originals I have is able to display battery serial no. whereas the fake battery does nothing when the info button is pressed(same as the other phottix battery I have). all the batteries can display the 3 bar battery info thingy.

GRbenji, I only check the battery can display info. my bad for not doing my research before buying. Anyway this is just to warn others of possible similar cases. He said is bought it from a shop in funan, so maybe he thought he bought a "genuine" too.

highly doubt so. anyway for batteries it's safer to buy new at your usual shops instead of BNS.

To TS, can you help all of us by posting a photo of the front and back of the so called "fake" battery so that we can see how fake is fake. Thank you.

I will post the pics after this weekend.
