User geeker wanted a Kenko TC. He SMSed me just when I was about to place the order.

Since I'm ordering some stuffs for FujiS2 and Tonysantos and promomised them that their lens will come before the weekend, I do not wish to delay their orders and went ahead to order for geeker even though I've not received his desposit.

I've SMSed him that the price is below $290. He is supposed to pay me a deposit of $250 on that very same day but after knowing that I've placed the order for him, he proposed to pay me when he collect the TC.

Now the TC is here and he's telling me that he thought that the price is below $270.

Just a warning to those who have to deal with geeker in the future. Also remember to collect sufficient deposit when conducting any MO unless u are prepared to swallow the item yourself.

Sorry to hear about your incident. Your kindness in helping geeker obtain an item may have caused you to suffer a potential loss. You have provided his nick, thats a good thing. Would be even be better if you can publish his mobile number for all to be wary off cos he can simply use another nick ... seems to be common these days.

Name him, Shame him. What you have done is the action of a responsible trader. If you can provide his mobile number, it will serve as a precaution or warning to future dealers who come into contact with him.

I should have insisted for my MOs the same then, I went ahead and ordered, but until now one hasn't replied my PMs nor paid me. Fortunately, I still have a 2nd MO that I can relay the stock to.

Doesn't pay to help. :nono: Collect full amount instead of deposit. Energy & effort wasted.

Once I bought a lens 2nd hand from a guy named Kenneth, looks to be in his mid twenties and seem like a nice guy and honest chap from our conversations. But he forgot to bring the warranty card during our meet up. I paid him in full and told him no sweat, please post the card to me.

In the following weeks,
he first claims, wife posted liao and then it got bounced, returned to sender
will meet up with me but he is always busy with his work (claims to be an architect and is always at worksite)
cannot go to his office to pick up warranty card cos got high security.

That S.O.B. then changed his mobile number after one month cos I kept bugging him every alternate day as I had to send the lens in for servicing / cleaning. Already deleted his PMs by then ... I still remember his face but wonder if Kenneth's his real name.

in the end ... suffered a loss of $100.
