Beware of becoming a Direct Subscriber of Spore Press Holdings for your newspapers

So its ok to use 'em as cooking ingredients ? :bsmilie:

For almost-free soya sauce, soak the newspaper in water and let it drip dry into a funnel and into a bottle :)

Need to clarify further: Unfortunately, starbucks does not sell soya products, i.e. soya milk.

I can make a Newspaper Soy Latte to go if you ever want one :)

The S*^% Times circulation is dropping 3-4 % per year despite the growing foreign population . This means less citizens are reading rubbish. Good news !

when you read rubbish over a long period of time, we lose ability to differentiate good from bad. Some of us even think COE is the only way to manage traffic jams.

only the wanbao and xinmin is worth reading, with juicy news. :D

I subscribed because i only need to pay a one time fee of 99cents for their ST apple app, my dad isn't keen to read news online (unless it's LFC's website) and my dog needs newspapers to poo.

The bad: Papers were not delivered sometimes. Never stolen when we were subscribing via the auntie vendor.
I'm using Android now and i can't use the app anymore.

Same as u, since changed to Android I can't use the apps. Email ST and they said need to upgrade to new "enhanced" plan aka paid more to use the subscription on Android devices... :/

for me, it's very simple:

if you believe that Yahoo! News or other news outlets are telling the truth, then go for it.

as for me, i'd like to read ALL the news outlets and come to a conclusion. it's better to see both sides of the fence instead of closing one eye and believing that only one source speaks the truth.

there is almost no more ethics in "journalism" these days.

and if you can believe "real news" that you get from TRS and TOC and TRE and the like, then i'm sorry to say that your education was wasted.

There is no need to resort to name-calling and boycotts.

There is no need to say that one news source is rubbish (unless it's been proven time and time again like in the case of the above-mentioned sites).

it just shows that you're not a very impartial person.

did you just mention Yahoo News? :o

Think Yahoo news was mentioned bcos it free?
Sometime the comments in yahoo news (& stomp) are more interesting than the actual news articles.. :p

Yahoo has interesting news because it does not gets its news filtered and edited as much as the st. And the best thing is through the comments section, we get additional insights. Eventually we can see a more balanced perspective, although many of these comments take shots of the ruling institutions.

Imagine being deprived of food for 1 week, and now you have a feast laying in front of you, wouldn't you go overboard and over-eat?

Imagine being in a mental confinement or "prison" for the last 50 years and now you can express your thoughts freely through yahoo, wouldn't' you go overboard?

The comments on Yahoo News gives good insights? Most of the time it's just whiners and trolls who make no sense hahaha

Yes, those yahoo comments might not make much sense, especially if we can only accept only 1 way of looking at things. Who needs sony, ricoh, pentax, olympus if we aleady have canon and nikon????!
