I can't imagine primary school kids turning to Google for help.

I am not trying to participate in this, but if you actually interact with kids today, searching on Google for information is instinctive. Been so since Gen Y - and I am Gen Y.

And what is his present skill level?
A lens that can provide an additional 2-stops of lights may prevent a blur image even in automatic mode.

If never answer the TS question, might as well don't post.
accordingly to TS profile, he is a 16 years old boy,

personally I don't advice a teenager buy anything unnecessary.

unless he very loaded will use his own money, or his parents will buy him anything without a blink of their eyes.

than by all means go ahead buy whatever lenses come with a red ring, or any "WOW!" "Awesome!" cameras.

and hope this will help him to shoot better cosplay photos.

ok let's answer the thread starter question.
you need one wide angle end .
one Tele photo . kit lens is both.

you also need one fast lens. 50 f1.8 will do.

unless doing bird shooting , macro , or speciality fields then need more lens

One young kid post a simple question and a group of uncles quarrel over how best to answer him!

Because his question is "no head no tail" and clearly mismatched to his experience

If the question is so simple please help him with your wisdom and show the uncles how to do it :)

i'm Gen Z and i have no idea how to use Google :bsmilie:

can you wear it?

Hi,
I would like to know if i get a L lens with the money i have or upgrade to a better camera?
currently using 1100D.

Yours sincerely,
Nicholas

Better brains.

L brains with red ring nano coated and packed in a golden box.

If you learn to harness the power of the newer cameras, you can take v clear photos at high ISOs. L lenses would make the pics more contrasy, etc . But all in all, it will all work if ONLY you know exactly what you're doing and how to use it properly. Basic Didic4 chip (1100D, 600d) + 70-200mm f4L is more than capable to handle, example: sample 1 like this which is around iso 1600-3600, no flash very useable sample 2, if the focus speed doesn't drive you nuts

Just notice this thread has been deleted by TS,

FYI, whenever other members replied to you thread, the thread is not entirely yours,
they have spend some thoughts answered your questions, even you don't like to hear whatever they said,
you still have to thank them and move on, next time spend more time to think how to ask a better question.

deleting this whole thread is very rude, only show that you does not value other people opinion, how to expect others to treat you with respect in returned?
probably the next time others will simply ignore your questions.

perhaps this thread will not help you, but it will help others asking a similar question.

thread restored and locked.
