Best way to sell pre-owned Canon equipment

Hi

I have an assortment of Canon gear which I would like to sell. What would be the best way to do it such that I get the best price? They are all in good condition. Would the MarketPlace here in ClubSnap be suitable? Not sure if buyers would have concerns purchasing these items without warranty or some sort of 3rd party assurance of authenticity.

1x Canon 5D MarkII Body
2x 580EX II Flash
1x Canon 200mm L f2.8
1x Canon Macro 100mm f2.8
1x Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L
1x Canon ‎EF 24-70mm f/2.8L

Thanks

Julia

As long as you price your equipment right, the items will sell quickly. Do have a look at the marketplace for a rough idea of how much each piece of equipment may be going for. The actual transacted price may be lower than what is quoted in the various ads.

You can also consider selling it all as a kit, albeit with a small bulk discount as compared to tallying up the individual selling prices.

Alternatively you can also sell them at a used gear store at say, Peninsula Plaza thereabouts. However, it is quite likely you would not get as good prices as you may get here since the retailers have to cover their own margins, rent and manpower costs.

Hi Julia,

If it was me, I'll be looking more at the condition of them lens and then the price tag to it. And when posting to sell stuff, there is some guideline you'll have to follow rules strictly.

State your meeting place and time suitable for you.

Example:
WTSell: Lens/Body/etc you can select from the drop down.

Item 1:
Price
Condition

Item 2:
price
Condition

and so on...

How would you like people to contact you.

You could leave images of your items you would like in the thread too. so people could also view it w/o every single person who wishes to view it, have to contact you for it.

Is it urgent?

Regards,
Anthony

Thanks richiemccaw1 & Beanie.

I will try the Marketplace then.

Beanie, it is not super urgent but as I am not using these equipment now, I'd rather quickly sell them than for them to depreciate with each passing day.

Thanks!

Julia

Look at the better wts ads and how to word it to give a clear. pic of the items for sale.

Search thru other ads and get a feel of the market price, esp those that indicated sold and post accordingly. If your price is fair, items will sell quickly.

Definitely selling here in B&S will get you much better price than to 2nd hand shops

It is Personal Classified section, Not Marketplace.
any Buy and Sell threads posted outside Personal Classified section will be deleted straight away.

anyway, with a little research and patient, you can sell it away at a reasonable price, however, you might encounter people like this. save the lowballer's campaign

just be firm on your price if you have done your research properly, ignore them if you find their offers is ridiculous.
