Agree. As a starter, using wider angle lens will probably be easier. 35mm in DSLR is equivelent to 50mm in full frame camera. Maybe 28mmf2.8 is a better choice. If want some telephoto effect, crop it in PS. ;p

Hmm. What you are saying is untrue.

35mm on a digital sensor is NOT equivalent to 50mm on a full frame camera (this kind of phrasing will end up making disoriented newbies even more confused); the angle of view/field of view of a 35mm on a digital sensor is similar to that of a 50mm lens on a full frame.

Secondly, cropping a medium wide angle lens for the framing of a telephoto is possible, but the distortion levels and perspective compression will never match up.
