Best place to buy a 17-40 F4/l

I am a Canadian student learning at NTU. Looking to sell some old lenses (on the forum, a 75-300 USM IS, 18-55 EF-S, 16mm Fish, 50mm F/1.8) to get this new lens. Wondering what the best place/site/store in the city is to get one. I have reviewed the forums but they all have places like MS, which I have no clue what it is. Any help, ballpark price, or if it would be better/cheaper to ship from HOng Kong, please let me know.

Call them, get a qoute. Too much hassle to have one shipped from HK, unless you are doing a MO. Besides if you are going to be Singapore for the rest of the year, its better to get one with warranty.

I am actually going to be moving to AUS for work after school mid-may. I am hoping to sell my other lenses so I can buy this lens when I head to Angkor Wot in a few weeks. ANy idea of the average price. And is there an international warranty? I can buy from B&H in the US, shipped to Singapore, for about 650USD,

Average price is anything from S$1100 to S$1200 (w international warranty). The last I've checked from B&H is USD669.95. The cheapest I've found in the States is USD645 @ Prestige Camera. But in all honesty, why bother? Its troublesome, and you have to worry about shipping & tax.

Whereabouts in Australia are you moving to? Lenses are expensive over there. You ought to check out the Aussie forums, take a few orders, bring them over and make a quick buck. Even better still, bring in a couple cartons of ciggies, you could easily make a couple of hundreds. lol...:bsmilie:

yup.. it's a grey set.. 1 year shop warranty. I'm not sure whether they will replace 1 to 1 for defect product, but they told me for other cases they will bring to canon center for repairment.
