Hi all, long timer lurker first time poster.

I'm in the market for an Oly EM10 and 12-40 f2.8 PRO lens. These aren't usually sold as a kit so would like to know of places that can give discounts when buying separate lenses.

I was about to buy it from Henrys.com since the SGD is very good against the Canadian dollar and all their prices are the same dollar for dollar value as USD, but much cheaper because of the exchange rate, plus they have a deal for $200 off the lens and postage is only $29CAD.

BUT I would rather buy local so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Wait for from 19-Mar to 22-Mar I.T show promotion from Retailers eg Courts, harvey etc and Olympus centre poster. Also Funan centre retailers and MS color in AMK.
I'm waiting for EM1 w HLD7 promotion till hair turning grey white.

Don't forget the 7% GST once the package reaches Singapore.
For the shops, check the price guides and call the shops whether they have such promotions or what deals they would offer you.
Alternatively, you can sell the unused kit lens. Locally purchased items will get you better prices than grey sets without local warranty.

Thank you for your replies!

I think I'll wait it out and try and get a set at the IT Show, a couple of people from work might buy stuff at the same time so maybe get a better deal.

Actually probably try and get the E-M5 Mark II with 12-40 f2.8

I've only bought computers from IT Shows, do camera sellers usually budge on price or better off asking for extras?

We have plenty of threads about the IT shows of past years. Usually they sell fixed sets (no splitting) and a bunch of freebies that only look good to the unknowing newbies. People who know equipment and prices would skip these offers and get their stuff from the usual shops.
Best to wait for the flyers coming out. Then you can also check with the shops about combination, prices and extras.

Thanks! I did the rounds at Funan on the weekend, I was impressed with TK Foto, was watching someone else buy a E-M10 and they weren't pushy and weren't trying to over sell you plus get some extras.

FYI Prices:
OM-D E-M5 mark II - ~$1400
Oly 12-40 f2.8 - ~$1050

Camera is a bit more than overseas but the lens price is actually pretty good!
