Just get the adaptor (52mm) and screw on the Raynox 250.

first sign of drop in price, the screen protector is a bit costly...perhaps i suggest you skip the screen protector when you can get one at 2 bucks.

2 months back, the branch at holland v still selling at 680 with 8gb card only.

Actually I was quoted $680 also but I asked cash payment so they went down the price. Got it already over the weekend. And skipped the screen protector. Still a good deal though

1. Kingston SDHC 8GB Memory Card (Class 4)
2. Black Lumix Hard Case (Very tight fit for the LX-3)
3. Divipower PA-S005 Battery (2500mAh)
4. Screen Protector (Cheap Quality)

Anyway I have ordered a Martin Fields screen protector to replace the one that came free. Edges are already showing signs that it'll come off eventually. As for the Lumix case it's a very tight fit for mine. It seems that I cannot use the neck strap with that case so I see myself hunting for the CLX3 or Leica leather case sometime soon. As for the Memory card I'm not sure if class 6 will do a better job for me to get another one? Any advice?

I also got mine from MS but at $10 more earlier last mth. Freebies are similar but as for the screen protector, it sticks well and doesn't peel off at all, at least for mine. My Kingston SDHC 8GB card is class 6.

As for the black oyster case, it only fits the camera without strap so i abandoned it and got myself a proper bag and couple the camera with a conversion lens adapter with wide conversion lens.

It's a Lowepro Clips 100 and from Lowepro's website u can see already. It's made for digital video cameras but fits my LX3 with the original adapter and wide conversion lens with the strap perfectly, topload style.

After some consideration, I finally bought the CLX-3 case to replace bundled black Lumix hard case. Was too bulky and troublesome for me as I cannot attach a strap if I use the hard case. Anyway is the hotshoe cover really necessary for this camera?

I got it at $28 from K-13 at peninsula plaza but u've to ask around like CP if they carry it. I think I bought it a bit too high a price, should be lower I suppose.

After reading your post, i think you should go for the LX3 straight away. No point in getting the TZ7 and then the LX3. You can't go wrong with the LX3, it has a very good lense, it's small, compact and produces great image quality in its class! It has scenes modes and the standard P,S,A, and manual, so you can learn through the different modes and auto settings (white balance, iso) as a newbie and when more comfortable go to full manual mode if you want!

If you don't need extra accessories, you can get it at SLR Revolution for $664, this includes 8gb class 4 or 6 SD card. screen protector is $2 more.

Those who got your lx3 from ms color, what was the model of the battery provided together with the camera?

I suspect they changed the content of my package because my battery was 1090mAh. I checked the panasonic SG website and it was stated the battery provided together is 1150mAh.

am i cheated??

I accompany a friend to buy Lx-3, actually we dint do any homework before buying, roughly know the price is around 699 comes with 8G card, orig batt and casing.

We went to Bally and bought 659 for LX-3,with 8G card and Casing.

Anyway, I am looking for GF1, pink. Bally quote price with 1299 (i am not sure which lens issit) Anyone here just bought GF1 and can tell the price? Thanks!
