If you pixel-peep, make large prints, or do agressive cropping, get the CZ1680. It really has no competition for wide-open / edge sharpness. I used to have the Tamron 17-50. but after suffering the effects of it's non-flat field of focus, I sold it in dismay. Found it useless for wide-open night photography. the 18-250 is a fun lens, but it's too contrasty... you'll find that you lose alot of hightlight and shadow detail, especially when compared to the CZ.
Once you've tasted the CZ, most other lenses will disappoint. The only issue is that it TENDS to suffer back-focussing on some bodies, but a recalibration by Sony SC will fix it for good.
