I am considering starting a Photoshop CS2 beginners course and I am looking for 2 pairs of photographers (4 in total) to help me test drive the syllabus at a very low introductory price of $80 for 4 x 2hr sessions.
Please note that images used here are for illustration purposes only and might not be used as examples during the course itself.
Who this course is catered to?
Specially catered for photographers who have a limited knowledge of photoshop and want to learn how to use it to improve their digital images.
What to expect from the course?
Small groups (2 people per group)
Straight forward techniques & tips

Course Syllabus (~2hrs per Session):
Session 1 Introduction
1 - Dirty monitor calibration technique
2 - CS2 & Bridge Interface (Knowing your way around)
3 - Understanding photoshops fundamental rules
4 - Understanding your digital photo
Session 2 Tweaking Your First Photograph
1 - Colour adjustment techniques
2 - Tonal adjustment techniques
3 - Using adjustment layers
4 - Simple effects (converting to B&W, sepia, cross processed, etc)
5 - Advantages of shooting in RAW
using adjustment layers to bring out the maximum potential in your photograph
Session 3 Manipulating Your First Photograph
1 - Transforming, distorting, rotating etc
2 - Using the Liquify Tool
3 - Using the brush tools, healing brush & stamp tools
4 - Blurring and sharpening
using the healing brush & stamp tools to remove/fix elements in a photograph (see foot in lower left)
using brush tools to fix otherwise difficult to photograph objects
Session 4 Compositing Techniques
1 - Masking techniques
2 - Layer effects & Blending options
3 - Adding text and text effects
4 - Where to go from here?
using masking techniques to make convincing compositions

Location
Courses will be held in my studio at 6A Lim Tua Tow Road (near Serangoon MRT).
Please note that only 1 computer will be provided from which I will teach from, I would prefer not for students to bring their own laptops as I have taught some classes in which the students were too engrossed in playing with their own laptops that they stopped listening to me.
Also, I am not a believer of issuing notes, so students are encouraged to bring some paper to jot down notes for reference.

Weekday Evenings from 7pm - 9pm
Mode of Payment
Upon signing up, a deposit of $30 is to be made to secure the place, the remaining $50 is to be paid at the end of the first session. Please PM me for details on where to make the $30 deposit to.
Signing up
There will only be 2 classes, so which ever 2 days gets filled up first the class will begin on the following week.
