your ball head is ok. Just clean it up a bit. Dig out any dirt with tooth picks it should hold... for now.

Buy Tripod.... hmmm.... Look ahead. If serious into shooting.. get one where the last leg is as thick as your thumb.

Thanks for the suggestion.Not gonna get a new tripod for now(No budget):)

Time to get the 35/1.8 DX :devil:
That one focuses quite close. When near to MFD, the bokeh at f/1.8 is quite nice (considering the price of the lens)
If you want even closer, then you need some macro lenses!
