used the DXA-5D before, rented from a bro here.
The pre-amps noisy and audio leaking between two channels....last time 5D cam still cannot do manual audio, and the only good thing is it kills the AGC feature.
Other than that, I rather opt for a dedicated soundman with good mixer that can output mic level into the 5D directly.

I actually have a brand new in box DXA-5D if you're interested.
Different from DXA-5DA in that it can supply power to mics that require phantom power.

I also provide location sound recording services if u r interested.
