the charging is fast and the power also drain very fast...

i use a desktop charger anyway...

i dunno if u guys also feel the same....may be i should go and exchange for another piece and try

what is the brand of your oem BP-511 compatible battery???

i got mine at N*B N*B and it is GigaPower... and the reason why you charge fast... drain also fast is becoz it is only 800mAh rather than the 1100mAh of the original BP-511

the one we bought from Alan Photo doesn't have any brand on the battery, but it states the model as C511L, For Canon Type and it's rated at 7.4V @ 1100mAh....

i've tested in on my trip and i must say, i'm quite impressed at the number of pictures i took, close to 300+, some with flash, some without on my G2..... quite comparable to the Canon original one.

damn...should be more careful next time...
