Battery for 400D

Where to get original battery cheap for Canon 400D and how much?

Anyone tried 3rd party and how is it? Any problems for using 3rd party batteries?

Btw, I just want the small, normal battery... not battery grip or what... too heavy.

Original is about $80+ and third pary should be about $30 with a 25% disount at eastgear I'm using 1 third party now and so far so good. Sometimes its just luck lor but eastgear third party batts come with 6 months warranty.

How long can your Eastgear battery last? Is it comparable to original or original can last longer?
Can tell me what is the brand of your batt? I might want to get.

Eastgear only sells one type of NB2LH should be charger devices or camera devices. Lasts about as long as the original so far

my eastgear camera devices batt lasts between 100-200+ shots (no built in flash use) longer than my canon original batt. canon batt sometimes also plunges very fast from 2 bars to zero, but eastgear can last on 1 bar for very long. so far so good for me.

just bought a 3rd party battery. SDV brand at Challenger. 2100 mah, $23.90. 7.4v for my 350d. Same batt model for 400d. Vivocity outlet no more, and i bought the last piece at tiong bahru. I suggest Funan outlet if you thinking of getting . FYI, canon original that comes with the camera is 750 mah or 800mah.

Yes, 2100mah on a normal case will last longer than a 800mah battery. sorry I do not count the number of shots. As i charge the batt, leave it alone for days, weeks, and use it when the need arises , and before a shoot, will charge the other batt as back up, so the counting will not be accurate.

I prefer original batteries for DSLR, reduce risk of voltage fluctuations or leaks.
Since u are using 400D, if you get a batt grip it will hold 2 x NB2LH, make sure not to mix battery brands.

PnS camera I will buy 3rd party batt.
OP was selling NB2LH for 400D @ S$75 before July.
I bought mine in Japan.
