err, no car adaptor.

can charge individual battery, charge time approx 180min (for 1600 mAH batteries) for 1-4 batteries. Can also use as AC adaptor (3.3V/6V).

Power requirement is 100-240V AC.

Not sure if it is intelligent. There is a LED that would blink if charge complete. Can anyone help with this?

check the specs of ur charger and see whether did they state any -v delta voltage or something like that

Those of you who bought at $50, were you given 1600 or 1700 batteries?

Last time was $45 with 4x1700 batteries.

It won't auto-off? Is it OK to leave it charging overnight?

The blinking is likely to indicates its on trickle charge mode... If the charger is good, you can leave batts on trickle charge for a year without major damage...

now i'm confused..... how many types of Casio charger are there in AP?

The charger is the same model, Casio BC-3HA with universal power voltage. Just that the batteries given may be different.

Rayovax allows optional charging from the car.

- According to the Casio booklet, if batteries are left in for too long, will discharge by itself. However, there is also a warning that charging for >48 hrs will cause fluid leak/explosion ??

Hence not sure which is which.

- No delta voltage specified in the specs.

- Package came with four 1600 mAH batteries.

Question : Anyone know where to get cheap NiMH batteries ( like Sanyo or Casio ) besides SLS?

no -ve delta detection??

means timed based charger lao

The GP PowerBank Rapid look good leh!
The package say got double safety controls (-dV cut off & Safety Timer). Also got trickle Charging mode. Cost at about $50 with 4 1600mAh batteries.
Just wonder why u guys prefers the casio changer so much? Is it very good?
I got a changer branded "super" bought more then 5 years liao and still working (not almost perfectly ;p , one of the slot no contact can't charge liao). When I put to fast charge mode can even bring some dead rechargeable batteries back to live! Not that heavy but still got 110v and 230v input selections. Only problem is no indication if the batteries is already fully charged.

Though not specified, it seems to be a smart charger. Read next.

Previously someone mentioned package comes with 4 x 1700mAh. Anyway, are the given batteries already precharged? My newly bought Sanyo 1700 took about 3hrs15mins to fully charge with it. When I tried to charge the given Casio 1600 batteries, in less than 10mins, the LED was already blinking to indicate fully charged.

Sanyo, so far AP is the cheapest I can find, if you bargain, you can get them cheaper than Mustafa.

The one you are referring to is Smart, not Rapid. Rapid is quite light.

I tried to buy the charger at AP just now. It comes with 4 1600mAH batteries. Quoted me $70. I mentioned that a lot of people have bought the charger at $50 and they gave me this "impossible" look. Think the staff at AP should should TCS. Anyway, I left without getting the charger.

The one I approached was good IMHO. Didn't ask for his name, but I sure can remember him.

He gave me a good price right from the start and I grabbed the charger immediately. I bought some more Sanyo batteries at a good price too.

Maybe the one you approached spoilt the market and their reputation.

There is this guy I usually buy from, short fella and also dunno his name. Definitely not Steven or Peter. Unfortunately, he wasn't around just now. Will try buying thru him the next time.
