Basic Leica setup

If i saw someone walking around with a Ti i just might contemplate robbery...

Thus I robed a Bank, a Bank account, mine. So it hurts, then again no pain, no gain. Like I said, it was a moment of indiscretion, fall of a cliff and landed on a hard piece of Noct, which hurts even more as it's three times more expensive for a little over one f-stop larger than a lux. so got to live with the pain and try to learn to enjoy it.

One often less hyped lens, is the summaron 35/2.8... i know of a guy who sold his asph cron just to hold on to his summaron! Its that good!

This should not be taken lightly. Trust me, I was robbed at gunpoint and subsequently shot twice because of the camera I was carrying (Nikon D3), no joke...

Nice... Is it the photo or does your M7 look a little rough on the edges? I also almost bought a banged up M7 but decided against it in the end.. haha..

Serious?!!! What happen man?!

Another story for another time... if you ever see me at one of the RFSG outings (after I recover) I'll tell you more... :)

In what sense is the summaron great?
I just got this lens after reading reviews.

Some info on this lenses here, http://www.nando.ca/misc/Summaron.pdf

Personally I like how the summaron handles black and white, it has a natural and classic feel and it fits nicely to the definition of B/w classic photography..

Some sample images done with the ltm summaron this year... Flickr: Connate's stuff tagged with summaron

the sharpness and contrast of the lens is impressive and I love the compact size and weight. I have a 35mm summicron 8 element which has very similar in barrel design, but optics, if you are looking for sharpness and contrast, the summaron is better at f/2.8 and moderate apertures.

For me I kept it more for practicality as I interchange my goggled Summaron between my M3 & M2. I like that it brings up the 50mm frameline as I wear thick glasses and have trouble getting the 35mm frameline on my M2.

Frankly, I didn't do much homework when I got my Summaron. I got it cos it was the only 35mm Leica glass I have budget for :) I have grown to like the interchangeability.

There's an ongoing Summaron thread in RFF.

In good hands, it will produce nice pics.

sharpness and minor difference is what collectors like and talk abt all day.

dont u think so My dear friend :)

The lens that I regretted selling is the cv 35mm f1.4 , dam gd and compact lens.
