Hehe, will PM you my number. :)
btw, is the shop John 3:16 reliable? I am gonna buy the camera there.

John 3:16 is an ok shop. I have dealt with them a couple of times.. and maybe buying my Sigma 12-24 from them..

What time will you be there.. you can PM me your contact.. and we can meet up.. after beachboy gets his 50mm f/1.8 from Cathay. Coz John 3:16 closes at 8pm and Cathay at 7pm..

Where and how much did you get the Tamron 28-200 XR? :)

Got it from MS Color for ~$400 last year. You probably can find it at Cathay Photo and Alan Photo too. Heard that Sigma compact macro performs as good if not better for the same price (but slightly heavier). You could consider it too.

guys,

which tripod to buy for my D70? Currently, i have a cheapo tripod that I bought in Carrefour. I don't that tripod can support D70 right?

I heard ballhead oso expensive too. Hmm, which brand and model to get?

Around $100. Is it possible? heh.

Hmm.. for a slik Pro 330 DX series perhaps.. about SGD160.00 but dont know if they still have this model..

Also ball heads are very expensive.. so unless you really want to spend 700+ for good ball head.. ehh.. hmm.. hoo.. hehe..

Heh, the Manfrotto 488 series is pretty good. I plan to put my almost new (used 1 time) 488 RC0 for sale soon. List price is S$130 but no stock... ;)

The most (in)famous ball head is Arca Swiss, costing around $850  at CP. The next on the high end available retail are Foba, AcraTech. These are somewhat cheaper...

Get a better tripod

Manfrotto 141RC head + 190 tripod. $200+-
Camera bag <$100 + $15 for a waterbottle. ;)
Dry cabinet.

Borrow some photography books (FREE)

You are ready to rock and roll.
