[Banana_Man] Perfected Imperfections...

please let me call you Master!
very inspiring.

i wonder how you did the close shots.
it requires alot of courage i guess.
i started off street 2 wks ago, and been trying to get closer but still have the fear.
those moments you captured had punched me several times.

any tips or thoughts for sharing?
perhaps you can oso give C&C for my street thread haha

Thanks Clari... i am no master at all... just someone who goes all the way to achieve what i want...
there's not much tips or thoughts... just need to know what you want the outcome of your photos to be...
i never really give C&C to anyone as i find that everyone has a special perspective/idea when they are shooting and i respect that...
best way to share...? go shoot with me... ;)

wow..brilliant example of being able to get so close with a dslr/slr which isint always that small and non intrusive..

thanks knight84...
a camera is just like a wand... whether the wand is it big or small or made of wood, gold or whatever precious gems, it's depends on how good you are in wielding your wand that really matters...

Hi BananaDiver,

That's a whole lot of really good photos! I especially like those in the first few pages, and #124 is really good.

Just wondering, you mentioned that you will befriend subjects before taking their pictures. How about those close up pictures where subjects are doing other things and not looking straight at the camera? For those photos, do you speak to them first or get a picture of the moment first before talking to them?

Thanks!

one of your very best.

Thanks Lancey ;)

Like your 2 models, how did u get the spotlight on them while the background remains dark?

#1 My favourite. The Teary eyes capture my attention, wrinkles on the man's face show the many decades of life he been through. Overall great shot!

Your Street Photography's truely inspiring !!!
It took HUGH gut for such close shots, especially using a 24-70 lens...

BTW, did you get consence from these people before shooting them,
or simply snap-n-go like i usually did? :)

hi shellshox... that's why i mention about the good light... the stage for the fashion walk was under a shelter but there was this certain portion of the stage where the sun was shining through the shelter, which explains the dark background... ;)
