Also, if you can see, these waves are too far from the coast (top right hand corner)
I didn't go to padang padang (where is it anyway?

Hi jbma, throughout my travels on planes, i've never encounter condensation on the window. For this trip i travelled on Air Asia, and the window isn't exactly clean.. I usually clean the inside of the window with a tissue paper to make sure whatever oil stain is gone.. Then I shoot it with wide angle lens and at a bigger aperture to make sure whatever dirt outside the window is totally blurred out.
Anyway i have the luxury of choosing whichever window seat to shoot, as that particular flight was 50% vacant, and i gave myself the 'first class seat' :

Yea! Definitely! Once budget airlines start flying from SG to Bali, i don't have to travel up to KL and fly air asia from there.. hehe!

For those who are interested in what kind of accomodation i stayed, I just posted some messages in Offstone. So i probably thought i can share them with CSers here..
1. Kuta:
Beneyasa Beach Inn
30,000rp for 1 night with breakfast. Situated off Poppies Gang II; From the beach, it's 15mins walk through the small lanes populated with many shops targeted at tourists. As it's a losmen (affordable accomodation), so don't expect too much. Basic amenities such as cold water and fan is only what you get!
I've also stayed at Balimanik nearby it, for 40,000rp. It's worse than Beneyasa in terms of cleaniness, and toilet looks a little shabby. I didn't take any picture of it because i was kinda in a rush to check out.
2. Ubud
A driver dropped me along an 'ulu' Ubud lane and i walked around 30mins looking for a good accomodation as suggested from my 2003 lonely planet Bali book, only to realize that many went bankrupt!
After lugging my huge backpack and looking at countless uninspiring, dirty, dark and messy losmens, i stood outside the Ubud Palace and nearly giving up when a very nice local lady recommend me 'Anom bungalow', which is situated at 40m away from main road but still near enough to be in the heart of the action! The moment i walk into the place, i was greeted by birds chirping and the (quite messy) garden makes the air feel so much cooler! I knew immediately, Yup! This is the place i'm going to stay for the next 3 nights in Ubud!! Better still, the owner just charge me 30,000rp for 1 night with breakfast and unlimited supply of tea/coffee!
Anom Bungalows

This is outside my room in Anom Bungalows, where i always do my writing, drink my tea, and talk to my very chatty neighbour from England.

I think Padangbai has one of the best selection of quality losmen in Bali! I chose to stay in 'Celagi', a losmen just 100m away from the beach. It's also highly recommended by this website.
I was offered a good price of 30,000rp for a room at ground level, but i always like to stay at higher elevation, so i choose the 2nd level at 40,000rp. And the price includes breakfast at their rooftop!
Look how wonderful Celagi is! it's almost like a perfect hotel except there's no hot water and aircon.
However, the only bad point of my room is that, it faces the cemetery! Well i don't believe in those 'things', but during the 1 night i stayed there, i received an SMS from my Sis saying my Mum dreamt that i bought a haunted condo in Singapore... HAHA! Thankfully nothing happen that night. ... This pic is taken just outside my balcony.
4. Lovina
Lovina is a very small place, so i virtually have no problem finding accomodation.
After some brief readup on my LP book, i chose "Susila 2 Backpackers Hostel", and it's quite clean, but not as nice as Celagi of course.. Paid 40,000 for it incl breakfast and free use of swimming pool at "Angsosa Hotel" just beside it.

It's perfectly safe in Bali, just have to abide by the rules when entering temple, dress appropiately
And when getting around the island, perhaps you might wish to get your own transport, as there are many locals touting tourists on the street, asking whether do you need transport... Many are harmless, but i'm sure there are blacksheeps around.. So do be careful and use your instints.. Above all, trust your guidebook most - it proved very useful for me.
