Very lucky to chance upon this.
Its certainly one of those things where I feel that as a photographer, if we look around, the best stuff can be just round the corner.

Its not everyday I can be in Bali and even less likely such that when I'm there that a royalty passes away and the Nagaben ceremony is held.
Its a costly event and often a few members of royalty are cremated in the ceremony to pool costs.

When we chanced on the event, we were actually caught in the road block up ahead in Ubud for lunch.
Could not see anything ahead, so the usual frustration of waiting and not knowing set in.

Since we were not going anywhere soon with the block, I decided to step out the car and see what was happening in front.

One shot from Balangan Beach.

The surf was great and a very relaxed atmosphere here.
A literal Surfer's Paradise.

Not that much a photographer's paradise on that day though. :D
The surf was just crazy and the tide very high that day.
Got drenched and almost lost my sandals as the tide line was just so erratic. :D

Thanks Joe.
All things considered, the 31ltd is a great lens on FF (smallish for the FOV, all metal build, nice rendering when used between f1.8-f2.8 and very sharp for landscapes when stopped down).

Wow u really got alot of streets shot!
