I was once having a jpeg file...I shoot in 6mp..after compression..it is about 3.5mb...but after the PS ...it went up to 10.5mb.

I did not notice it...I sent to KT to print together with 200 photos. When I collect my photos , they told me that most of my files are pretty large. Then only I realise that average size of the 200 files is around 4mb after PSed.

They did not complain at all. Delivered the next day. Good service.

very weird konota actually complain, since dats the normal size per pic. i average 3-5MB per pic when i sent my to miao laan at bukit batok. usually send them 1 CD worth of data to be develop everytime. in fact, the shop owners specifically told me NOT to resize in PS becos they will do it for me, which is why each pic is big in file size.

yes loh...shooting at 6mp..and the file is normally compressed to 3-4mb. This is very common.

may be it is what epia said earlier..."look like an excuse".

Kit: maybe it's the photographer :bsmilie: Just kidding, michelle has never complained about my file sizes, because normally when I process I make sure I save with the least compression, also I mentioned JPEGs, heehee I don't send TIFFs unless necessary TIFFs from a 6mp would be 30+ MB at least!! No wonder she screamed. Heehee.


Although far and off the way for me to KT and BM but satisfaction still counts I guess.

i sent 2 sets of wedding photos to KT in 4R and 8R.. at least 1000 4Rs...

i got them in less than 5 hrs...

6-7mb is not too big. It's pretty standard I would say. As for the size you developed (4R or 8R), even then it dosen't matter that much.

I understand that if you leave it with any standard photo outlet
you can get it printed . no complaints of size .. they are all
sent to a central lab in singapore where it is printed

Hmm... If u resized it, juz tell them loh?

Anyway, I prefer to do the resizing and cropping myself den letting others do it for me. They dun own my brain.

I would say a 6-7MB file to print on 4R is a bit of an overkill.

my friend send in 8 pics also 6-7MB files to Konota for printing 4 8Rs and 4 6Rs
and they accepted it.
