Bad image quality on my Hassy 500cm. Please help!

Scanning is an art to learn by itself. While a good scanner and good scanning software helps, you need to tweak the scans to get the correct colors, etc as well.

Any good reads on scanning to recommend? While I am not a very technical person, i would like to know some basic settings to i can apply so I can get correct colors off my flatbed scanner. Deeply appreciate if you have some recommendations

Best buy i ever made. Teaches you everything from basics of scanning to comparisons between different scanners in the market to the proper scanning workflows.
