i guess we all have our bad days. The shop in question seems to have taken a fall in ratings since its expansion in staff. I dunno, kinda like the feel of the old days, and i certainly never had these issues with them. Payment was always prompt and they sometimes even forgo their commission if the sale was slightly lower than expected. Then again, i haven't been back in ages.....

Hi Szekiat,

I do agree with you and I have had good encounters during the old days when I was dealing with the Owner's Father. At times, he did allows me to negotiate directly with owners of the equipment for a better deal. I am not sure if he knows about the matter as it was handled by the Lady, whom I think was not friendly and arrogance. Or perhaps he just couldn'd be bothered for a small thing and focuss more on the bigger matter which I think is also not so good as a downfall of any businesses starts from a tiny problem which can spread to a bigger one.

Just like a small fire can destroy the whole building if not being tackled properly.

Anyway it was just an experience and I hope this will create awareness to potential consignors.

Best Regards.

If u think this is a factual case and u have all the documentations, there should not be any fear in naming (or shaming) the shop. State all the facts. U won't get into trouble. U see letters of complaint to Forum all the time.

Unless, of course, u are not sure yourself and there could be some other reasons. I am curious to know if it's who I think it is.

Hi Astroboy,

PMed you on the matter.

I agree with astroby on this, if you are sure of yourself, and if you want to achieve the goal of spreading consumer knowledge on this shop, you should name the shop.

I for one am not that sure which shop you are referring - by not naming the shop, you could indirectly cause another shop to be considered.

Imagine, you thought you described A, but didn't name A. Another photographer reads your "clues" and thought it was B. And since you didn't verify/deny its A or B, the photographer goes away with a wrong impression.

If you're trying to avoid trouble, giving indirect references which you consider is sufficient to allow "you guys know which shop I am refering to", as far as "trouble" goes, that makes no difference from naming the shop outright.

At the end of the day, this shop will loose more customers as words going to be spread from one to another...

I think you guys know which shop I am refering to and I will not name the shop as this will cause unpleasant situation....

Read what he has said.

He said that this particular one used camera shop was bad once

If we are talking about the same shop, who is the owner?
The slim greyish hair guy or the well-fed balding one?

There are more than one used camera shop there. Just curious, is it *C*?

Regards,
Arto.

Is the shop on the first storey?

Huh....

We need to be sure you know, if not we can accuse the wrong shop. I don't want to be a slanderer.

Hey folks! Rather than to assume/guess (or worst still, 'conclude' based on the incomplete information given so far), why not give the benefit of doubt to that 'shop' instead?

Even if the 'shop' is named here, I'm pretty sure your experience with that 'shop' will vary from others. End of the day, it's a judgement call - whether you wanna rely solely on someone else's bad experience (even though you may have pleasant experience with them previously) and decide to stop patronising the shop. Just my 2c worth .... ;)

which shop you all toking? Is it the most impressive shop with MANY people there most of the time?

I have to respectfully disagree. Many forumers here, especially newbies, also patron shops that are recommended here based on the good experience of forumers here. So equally, people would prefer to avoid shops based on other people's bad experiences.

I too had an unpleasant experience with the shop is suspect, and was actually quite puzzled why it was so frequently mentioned here in the same breath as MS Color and Cathay.
Apologies in advance if I misread the "hints"

Can someone kindly point out the shop's name for the newbie like me... I dun shop around often and won't be able to know which shop has ladied serving or other noticeable traits just like tat.

Thanks,
