** Backup photographer wanted **

I'm looking for a backup photographer (or rather, a partner) for me who can help me to shoot for events (e.g. Company Dinner, price Presentation, Wedding, ROM..etc), in case I could not make it on the day. Of course, I could be your photographer as well, if you're working the same way as me.

The idea of "Backup photographer wanted" just came to my mind, when I read a thread of "Cam for rent..".

Ideally, this helps to build up links between "individual", "freelance/part-time" photographers, only in 1-1 basis, to share resources of assignments. And in case of emergency, your backup is pretty helpful.

The good reason using 1-1 partnership is to avoid the priority of the photo assignment in an opening way. The backup person also can pass on the job to his/her own back, just in case he might have need to.

Here is the proposed steps:
a. Post personnel information (name/nick, age, sex, location)
b. Post equipment information (Range F./SLR/DSLR, lenses, flashes,tripod...etc)
c. Provide online portfolio URL, Post 2~3 representative pic OR state the strong photography subjects

If you support this ideas, please post your own information here. Probably, find 1~2 backups is enough for you.

Interested, but looks like I am not good enough no doubt that I have shot 5 weddings, 3 or so events and everything else in between.

I have not earned any money for this. I would say that equipment is one thing, but more importantly it is how the photos turn out in the end.

Anyway, here is my list:

1 prime lens
1 Flash
4 Compact Flash Cards
1 X-Drive II for now.
1 external battery source for flash.

I am a casual shooter but more often shoots events and candids. Am pursuing this hobby of mine now that I'm semi-retired.

Also not necessarily that wee can act as backups but rather could also form a pool where individual talent can be utilized for each requirement. Its like a pool of photo specialists that can take on all sort of assignments, help rendered by all and earnings accorded accordingly. Think about it!

Thank you for all the support, after little discussion with some of you, I think each of you might able to get your own "Backup" contact list from this thread. Please make full use of the contact information here and please do take note the following:

1. The posts of personal information here is vulnerable for being abused, if any; thus, if this is your concern, DO NOT keep the information private.

2. Since only during an emergency, a photographer will then ask for the "backup"; other than that, most of the time, a "backup" just be there for standby; BUT, If a backup is called, please be PUNCTUAL !!

3. The equipment a backup using is NOT a subject here. We trust our own backup and he/she will present the best results for us.

4. If you are target to earn $$ for being a backup here, (i'm sorry) it might not be a good place for you; we are here to provide friendship & support; regards costs, please discuss among yourselves.
