How much does B&W processing and printing cost? Not on colour paper, but the traditional ones. For example, 3R/4R size, and where? Urgently need to know... Thanks..

Wow, developing B&W is not cheap...do they do it the traditional way with an enlarger?

$1.50 per 4R at Ruby Photo.

I was told by the fotoguide uncle that its around $0.50 per 3R at Ruby when I bought my first roll of ilford. True?

dunnoe about 3R/4R printing but it's $9 for development and contact print...

I've done mine at Konota, and they turned out great. 40c per 3R plus 3.5 developing charges for my Ilford HP5+. $18 per roll, and I get one index print (4R).

Or you could just use Kodak T400CN, or the Ilford XP2 Super. Both are chromogenic films, and can be developed in the normal way as for colour photos (they are designed to be so), and printed the same way as for normal negative films. Try it, you'd be pleasantly surprised that they turn out pretty well. I've tried XP2 Super and I love it. I do all my prints at Konota.

T400CN is quite good with balanced tones. I like using it for street photography. :)
