Been trying to get one for a while now, and am not able to. Does anyone know the status of the wait/where I can find one?

I received a call 2 days ago from CP informing they had come to my Q number... which is ~40 for the 1D mk3.
Which was long after I already bought mine...
I think the stocks in singapore are still quite limited, unless you're willing to pay a premium.
Call the usual shops... CP, John, but you might want to try Alan photo... I got my 1D mk3 there, abet for a higher price.

Looks like they might have a big shipment recently. I also got a call from them a couple of days back, my q num was 57. (unless those before me rejected their cams like me)
Passed on my unit as well. Received the call last month.

I also decided to give the mark III a miss, after the launch of D3 from Nikon. Now waiting for may be the markIIInBut for now, I think the stocks are slowly coming in. MS may have stock, may have gave up their orders
yup.. I also changed my mind after Nikon announcement, coupled with uncertainty in AF issue (since Canon did not make a stand to say that there's no issue). Had they called me before that announcement I'd have bought it.
