powerful car - get manual
normal car - get auto

Get tiptronic if u wan both.

Peak torque at 2400rpm seems quite low...

But the ultimate is the newest Porsche 911 Turbo tat makes it's maximum 620Nm of torque at 1950rpm - 5000rpm.

And also i read the newest Yamaha YZF-R6, only 660cc 4cyl, but pushes 130bhp at a dizzy 18,000rpm. The max rev is 20,000rpm. They made the piston & other internals like the camshaft & rod to be as light as possible, so the engine can revs easily.

Sometimes in the super bikes category, the technology also very advance.

Tiptronic/Shifttronic just gives you control on an Auto Car. However, I believe it won't give you the "power" of what many ascribe to a manual car.

Also, for those hardcore people who like to stress their engine (e.g. shifting from 4 to 3 at 100km/h), the shiftronic may not help as it sometimes doesn't allow you to change to the gear you want if the end result may damage the vehicle.
