The white umbrellas are for soft light.The silver umbrellas are for harder and more dramatic light and the translucent umbrellas are for soft and diffuse light. The 8mm shaft is compatible with flash heads from other manufacturers.An optional diffuser cover turns the umbrella into an affordable and extremely portable 'softbox'.Aurora umbrellas produce soft and wrap around lighting that is perfect for single light portraits.
