Connect it to your new Senns headphones lor. Dun need to use iPod. Can use any other music player like a hifi cd player that have a headphone/line out. Or just use a radio.
Frankly, I have no idea... Like I say, never thought of it, till I start reading Head-Fi forums.... So now I am curious of the pricing... Looks like this will be bottom of my pile of "things nice to get"....

Alot of us who just started out in the headfi journey (thanks ah koelsch! ) start this way.
For me, the headphone amp is way at the bottom of my list. It might be a personal thing but i still prefer to leave the bulk of my sound system at home - and not end up carrying it with me.
Headphone amp pricings vary in models - from entry level (80-100 odd) to well ... (yes it does make you green with envy and green in the face when you pay for it - this is the amp alone) and like photography - it has to be a balance, wrong cable to the amp and you'll be :complain:
Was at Jaben last week, but did not test the hornet (Not even sure there is stock to even test it)... Started from the lowly ones.. till Minibox-E, which sound quite ok for me and with a reasonable pricing... Not sure if I would get it tho...
Was thinking of going there again to test out the rest - higher ones... but hor, higher I go, more poisonous to the wallet...
