in fairness to TS, he's only asking an assistant to carry stuff, he didn't require him to shoot, and not likely will he be carrying stuff for 10 hours, probably move lights here and there, these are not difficult things to do, and no need to have photography technical skills to carry and move stuff

Push trolley and "etc". This is still labor work which should be paid more for their time. Well if you are very free and want to learn then by all means go ahead. Ethically it's not an ideal wage for a PA

Oh by the way, most of the time the assistant probably just stand/sit there and help me look after the equipments.
