Directors>Wong, Kar-wai

Wong Kar-wai (b. July 17, 1958)
Wong Kar-wai (Wang Jiawe) was born in Shanghai. In 1963, he and some of his family moved to Hong Kong, while several brothers and sisters stayed in Shanghai. To help Wong learn Cantonese, his mother, a fan of cinema, often took him to see films at the local theatre. In 1980, after graduating with a graphic design degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic College, Wong began working for the Wing Scope Company as a scriptwriter and director. The first film he directed was As Tears Go By (1988), which was recognized at the Cannes International Film Festival. For his film Days of Being Wild (1991), Wong earned the Hong Kong Film Festival’s first Best Director Award. His Chungking Express has become a cult hit. After that, he established his own production company, Jet Tone Company. His film Happy Together (1997) is about the struggles of a gay couple, for which he won the Best Director award at the Cannes International Film Festival, becoming the first Chinese person to do so. His film In the Mood for Love (2000) won the Cannes Technical Prize. Wong began working in Hollywood with his film My Blueberry Nights (2007), with Jude Law and Natalie Portman, which opened the 60-year celebration at Cannes.

Most welcome should you wanna watch them ;)

In The Mood For Love is such a classic. Meggie had like a different cheongsum for every scene

Oh well you would have to watch all 3 parts. Part one is Days Of Being Wild, Part 2 In The Mood For Love, Part 3 2046

I like the way the characters speak mandrain, cantonese, shanghainese & japanese in all 3 films & the way angles the film was shot at, wa lau, master of arts man.

The films are more like art pieces than films
