Architectural + Cityscape Photography #7 (The photos)

Two pictures with different cropping

WC#1B

wow... I like this...
The effect of the lighting is 'cool' ...
Did you wait another few minutes for the sky to become brighter, or you ran around like bro NNB? :D

Oh okay. I thought that was bordering on weird already.. haha. I was actually running ahead of NNB that day; he couldn't chase me :vhappy: but I have to admit, I pulled up the brightness for the picture. :p

your uploaded photo is a bit small though (scared ppl steal har? :D)... I find myself straining to see a bit, though I can still tell what it is.
It's an unusual composition, but I reckon it's cool and I like it. Would prefer a bit more lighting in the sky... but I guess you ran off to another location to catch the light... :D

ok... I think I left my brain somewhere.... ~where is it.....~

oh....! I spotted something. You didn't focus to hyperfocal distance. Bridge not sharp.... hehehehe.

Okie....My Submission.. Thanks to "Shifus" YS/Kit for providing frank feedbacks and critique on the review session at Macs..

Here's what i got for the morning..As usual, CnC most welcome~!

Cheers

For 2. i just let the distortion runs.. since i try to get the insane view.. (might be uncomfortable for some since buildings are tilting inwards )

Wow! Nice shots!

oh damn....I think I left my hyperfocal distance on the bridge. Did anyone pick it up?

Yeah, one day I will join your outing as newbie and learn about hyperfocal distance. It's something that still confounds me (and I'm too lazy to read the links from DD123).

Actually I'm still not sure where I focused on (because it was a full 360 pano) before I started  but I suspect it was one of the wall sections.

::edit:: it's the light blowout blur, not focusing problem. See BIG picture

got do my job leh).. u run until no heaven no earth still hv the cheek to say... :sticktong

Ok.. back to ur WC#1B, its a cool pic no doubt but i felt abit disconcerning viewing the heavily distortion stairs and overexposed lights on the right leh.. bridge on the left tilting to the left wor.. overall innovative and got coool FE efect la.. but hor brother.. Personal preference la ah.. hee...

Heeh.. oops. I thought they were doing okay wad. I asked before I left my post, 'anyone got question'? All look at me like "???" i.e. who is this fella.

Yeah, it's weird. Heavily distorted.

But anyway disagree that the bridge is tilting. Somehow it will just tilt like that no matter how straight you align (prob the angle taken from). Not the first time taking there and the last time also had the same tilt. I'm not sure why, but that's how it looks like from there. Serious!

Ok, bridge is not tilting..shd be the angle of view.. u win..:bsmilie:

I liked his compositions, though I felt that his B&Ws were too contrasty. Looks like quite a lot of blown highlights.
I suppose it's his style, though I don't find myself feeling "wow" when I look at them.

Ya, some of them were way overexposed. Pulling back a little might help and at the same time, still presenting the scenes in a different light. I do have some reservations on compositional balance and perspectives as well but after seeing the Helix shots, I thought there's more to explore.....

Finally submitting my homework. So sorry for been so late.
Some photo work, some don't, some not balance, some over pp, some after stitch, tilt in such a way that I rather go take the photo again than trying to correct the tilt.
Anyway, CnC most welcome.
