C&C welcomed! I think Kit was talking about taking shots of this bridge with nicesnap, and I only caught bits and pieces of it. Sorry I had to leave early also; mobilization exercise was quite abrupt.

Hi Numnumball..

I love the contrast.. U used any filter or was it shot straight from the camera de?

Thanks~ Out of the cam.. :)
Shot using manual focus (hyper focal distancing) "naked" (nt me, lens )

Wow all the pic looks great. But the above pic sky looks a bit strange to me. Or is it because of my pc? The sky's color look a bit like zhao sei (color run) lolx

Thanks thanks..
haha.. special filter effects applied.. maybe affect the color of the sky as well.. hee :sweatsm:

wow..once in a while it's nice to just go insane! hehe

Hee...Thanks bro.. Went insane cos only slept 3 hrs+ prior to the shoot..

I initially took three bracketed shots, planning to exposure blend them but the cloud movements were quite drastic and the difference in lighting between the three pics not that great. So rather than doing an exposure blending (HDR would not have worked as well due to major cloud movements), I chose one pic, and worked on it.

Did a few post processing for this, mainly multiple layers of B&W at varying opacity, and combining them selectively. To get the grunge look, I actually converted to a B&W pic before reapplying back "color" from the original pic. Cropped off unwanted ground area, and got this. I purposely blew up the area lighted up by Parliament, dimmed the bottom left and bottom right areas; not sure if that was good or bad but it was intentional. I thought it would attract the viewer's eyes to the parliament.

C&C welcomed!

Reluctant to post this. :bsmilie: Obvious tilting and maybe distortion?

You guys never failed to impress me with the photos haha.
I like this pic. The cloud looks great.
But the left side of the sky looks a bit out of place. Dark clouds?

I'll be sure to turn up for the next outing!
Gonna camp for Outing #8!

There were patches of small red clouds all over the place. See NNB's #4. This was a 25sec exposure so I suspect they were faster moving (as opposed to the higher layers of white clouds) and spread out (that cloud was gone in my next 30sec shot but another cloud moved in). Actually may need YS's help here. He was explaining to us about different layers of clouds to us in his last outing.

Here, there's obviously two layers and it would appear the red clouds are below the white clouds (I had similar pics yesterday like NNB's #4 showing the patches of red clouds looking like they are below the patches of white clouds).

This is one of my fav pic of cloud layering (from another outing)

NNB - #5 - Think there's some compositional imbalance in this one (becos of the angle of shoot, took form the steps on the lower level of the quay:sweat:) 6 stop filter used.

You prob know this already also but just to explain a bit more of the issues of this pic NNB#5 to the rest. The space remaining on the right side of the pic (Singtel building to edge) looks okay but the building on the left is cut off abruptly. There isn't really any way I can think of that can fix it because a vertical shot was taken to capture the tallest building. Well... not really can't, because if lens is not wide enough, can move backward and that's what you did with NNB#7 thus managing to get all the buildings nicely in.

For NNB#7, there's a wee bit too much space on the right/not enough space on the left. It's just a wee bit.

Which you got it right in NNB#8 ;)

NNB - #6. In the middle of the bridge
