Wow so fast. A bit late , but can i be put on reserved reserved? :sweatsm:

The last time i made an attempt at morning shots I was a little late and the sun is too high le! I want to catch the light breaking at pre-dawn!

Jonathan, from my experience, best time to be there is arrive at 6.00am on the dot. You'll have more time to choose a spot, and setup. When the time comes, all you'll be doing is to hit the shutter button, and sit back.

I have even arrived at a spot at 5am just to make sure the moon is over the particular scape so as to have it in the frame.

If you can't wake up so early, best is to not sleep the night before. You'll be punctual for sure.

Also, anyone know what exit to take from City Hall MRT Station? Just going have to follow the directions there I guess. ;p

On the side note, I'm sure most of you would have notice this really weird haze/smog that's hanging in the air for almost everyday of the entire week. Was wondering if the morning shoot would be affected by it? (It's not like the silent-hill type of thick haze, but it's definitely irritating to see at morn & dusk periods...)

Actually a few times I go on my own... will end up sleeping in :bsmilie:

When forced to turn up for outing, then can at least be there for early morning shoot. But if late, don't despair... at least you will learn more about first-bus morning timings, first-MRT morning timings, etc... next time can plan for more accurate arrival time.

That said, I too would suggest coming earlier than you plan to. I have my own workflow that involves setting up the camera, tripod, etc so that I am ready to shoot when arrive, but still have to cater at least 5mins on spot before good-to-go one lah.

First train starts 6am,545am...etc.... you think you can make it? Just walking from the station to amphi theater already take 5-10mins....
