Aperture/Iphoto files

Hi all,

I just purchased an external hdd and want to shift all current and future files to this external hdd.
Using a macbook pro 15" retina.
How do I shift the whole library over and set future library to be there?

1. There's a file called "iPhoto Library" in your Pictures folder, copy it to your external HDD
2. Open Aperture, Press <Command>+<comma> to open Preferences and under General Tab, point to the location of the "iPhoto Library" you just copied to external HDD

Noticed aperture you can direct it to the new folder. What about iphoto? can we change the default as I do not see the same selection or path directory.
