#2 is awesome. I am curious what other lenses u r pairing the ZE 21 for your travels and how often u use the 21 in relation to the rest.

ohh for this trip, I brought my Zeiss 21mm f2.8, Canon 35mm f1.4 and Canon 135mm f2. But I am using my Zeiss most of the time :p except during the evenings, I tend to use my Canon 35mm f1.4 more. For my Canon 135mm f2, i use it for some landscape shots as well on top of street shots, u can view one sample here I took with this lens:

Ohh i also use LEE Big Stopper (10 stop) + a bit of 0.9 GND soft with my Zeiss too.

To take the squirrel with a 35mm, i actually setup with a tripod, focus at a particular spot near to the lens and lure the little critter to that spot with cranberry bun. I then use a wireless remote to fire off the shutter.

here is a photo of the MC sheen on my ZE lens. not as bluish/purplish as some of my other CZJ lenses.

Why are you selling this baby away?

I am trying to streamline my gears. For 7D, it is a waste not to use it its AF capability. So selling the zeiss to gather fund for 35mm L, and a siggy 50mm 1.4 to go with the siggy 85mm.

Just got a nex 5n. So it will be the body for my manual lenses with adapters. Will look for a fast 35mm later as I got wind of a moscow sellers letting go of a czj sonnar 85mm f2 and some old sonnar 50mm f1.5 ltm mount. Dunno how good they are yet. So need to go back to see... BBB virus.

I am also letting go of my pentax super program body, but keep my R8 setup. This is because film photography is very ex in sg, unlike moscow.... :( so have to cut down on slides film and focus on BW at lower frequency.

Sorry for the long story on such a short question. But no urgent to sell, as looking for a buyer that will use it.

So are there anyone who is interested in my cz and super program?

:)

I see. I am trying to streamline my gears as well. On the contrary, I added this baby and maybe letting the Siggy 50 go. Still pondering over which gears to let go. Tough choices.

Tilt screen & Focus Peaking helps a lot for me to shoot as low as possible.

Fwah, u bought the 5N! It's really a great cam for legacy lenses isn't it?! Nice shot!

Finally convince my wife. The noise control is very good. The jpeg on std is a little dull. need to use the vivid setting to pump out the color a little more. Had to adjust the WB and gave a +0.4 EV. Everything else is off camera. This is one of my most loved lens. It is heavy, weighting @ 1.5kg with mounting plate but it surprise me with the quality of photos it can produce.

What were the words you used to convince your wife?

hi,

anyone know where can i go for service my zeiss lens?

Planar T* 1.4 50mm ZE

If it is still under warranty, u probably have to send to Oberkochen, Germany.
Repairs

If it is already out of warranty, u can try "fatigue" or any of the camera repair shops. They may be able to help.

BTW, what's the problem?

Inside the lens got some black spot, that why I'm thinking to bring the lens to clean.

no need to go Germany as the lens is made in japan.
Local distributor shriro will be able to help you for the servicing.(if without warranty/bought overseas, think they will charge you)
Shriro (Singapore) Pte Ltd

Thx

Local distributor has trained technicians but if your problem involves the dismantling of the lens, then you have to send it to the factory in Japan, I have sent it and collected it back before, but might need to pay depending on your problem. Zeiss take good care of its customers.
