2. On our fixed Saturdays group departure from Kathmandu by overland clients are free to choose whether they wish to travel by Land Cruiser or by Bus. Although, this necessarily does not mean that people travelling by a Land cruiser will have their own private guide because only one guide will be provided for both the Bus and Land Cruiser trip in every single departure.

( If the individual Chinese visa has to be obtained from the Embassy in Kathmandu then they will require your original passport at least 7 days prior to your Tibet departure date. ) The TTB permit which we will process for the group will allow you to enter Tibet and the individual Chinese visa will allow you to stay for a few extra days in Lhasa before finally flying back either to Kathmandu or further on into China. For those extra days in Lhasa at the end of the tour you will be free on your own without any services provided from our side.
NOTE : While applying for the Chinese visa in your respective HOME COUNTRY please do not let the Chinese Embassy know that you intend to travel into Tibet ( lest they reject you a Chinese Visa ). Rather tell them that you intend to travel into Beijing, Sanghai or some other parts / metropolis of mainland China.
6. Traveling overland between Kathmandu and Tibet is an incredible journey in which you can see the worlds highest plateau. This is a wonderful and amazing trip. However, if you are not up for a bit of adventure, or for accommodation and amenities that may be far from perfect, perhaps this trip is not for you. The infrastructure of the tourist industry is still very basic in this remote region. Despite our well preparation, please do not expect the standard you are accustomed to. Although we try our best to see that our tour runs smoothly, we have to let you know that we have to rely heavily on our Tibetan Counterpart Agent for delivering the services who again has to depend and comply with the strict travel rules and regulations of the Chinese Government

A trip to Tibet takes an ascending order and can be rather exhausting at the initial point. PRECAUTIONS & HEALTH CARE FOR HIGH ALTITUDE SICKNESS :
Because of the high altitude, thin air, cold and arid atmosphere of Tibet, travelers occasionally might suffer from high altitude sickness of different degrees, such as headaches, insomnia, depression and nervousness. To prevent these altitude sickness, we would remind you to have enough rest, drink lots of water at least 3 liters per day, not to strain or exhaust yourself, move slowly and breathe deeply. For the light sick ones, medicine is not necessary but rest is a prime necessity. While for the seriously sick, tours must be stopped immediately. The patient should lie down in bed and if possible inhale oxygen (hotels can always provide oxygen bags and cylinders). Inhaling oxygen is a convenient and effective way of curing altitude sickness.
RECOMMENDED CLOTHINGS :
Because of its high altitude and climate, Tibet is somewhat cold and the difference in temperatures between day time and night time is vast. But as for its long sunshine, winter is not too bad. Its annual rainfall is not much with the monsoon occurring scarcely between July and September. In spring, autumn and winter the weather is a little bit dry.
SPRING ( Mar - May ) : Cold, dry and windy. A down jacket and woolen sweater are necessary.
SUMMER ( Jun - Aug ) : Cold but not hot at noon. Shirts, pants or skirts are fine.
AUTUMN ( Sept - Nov ) : Cold, dry. Jackets and sweaters are necessary.
WINTER ( Dec - Feb ) : Frigid and very dry. Warm pullover, down jacket, woolen sweaters, scarves and gloves are necessary.
Incase you have any more queries or require any further assistance / information regarding the tour then please feel to write to us. Look forward to hearing from you again.
